3 ways to calm your mind after a busy week

Time is something I use to have a lot of. I could do things at my own time and pace, and it was amazing – for most of it. The only problem with having too much time, is that not much really gets done on time, or never gets done at all. Well, funny thing is, I have no time left at all anymore. The amount I can squeeze into a single week at the moment, makes me wonder what I could’ve accomplished whilst having the time to do it.

I get one day a week to do nothing. – and even on this day ( which is a Sunday, for any of you wondering) I still can’t seem to sit and do nothing; this is news to me, because not too long ago I could sit for hours doing absolutely nothing.

So here I am on a Sunday evening, after a morning of hair masks,  face masks, laundry and every other admin thing you can fit in ( after waking up at 11am of Course) , writing a blog post, about how to spend your Sunday evenings.

Every single day of my week ( apart from today) is spent outside the house – and is generally split between uni and work – This means that when Sunday finally rolls around, I will not leave my house, let’s just say that no makeup and comfy clothes are now a luxury that I cling onto. So I’ve shared three things I love doing on a Sunday, to help me recharge for the rest of the week!

Be it a good rom com that has you in tears or a re-run of friends ( not a film but you get the point) this is a must for a Sunday spent indoors.

I am a massive fan of hard copy books and magazines, I think they make you think in a more creative way when you read their contents. Reading a good book or gathering inspiration from your favourite mag whilst sipping a cup of green tea is the best way for me to think of new ideas and really get into a creative space.

Take a bubble bath, plaster your face with a moisture locking face mask, light a candle ( or a hundred candles), make a cup of hot chocolate with whipped cream and marshmallows ( pop a few sprinkles onto too, while you’re at it. Pampering always goes down well.

    Lovely read! I’m such a huge believer of ‘me’ time and i love taking a bubble bath with a face mask on sipping on some wine – the best way to unwind Xx
